Share a life change that people hide, explain why they fear it, and prove why it actually makes them stronger.

The hook

Start with a big personal moment and a surprising truth you noticed right after.

Structure

Personal life change -> Hidden problem -> Private messages -> New way to look at it -> Words of strength -> Warm sign-off

  1. The Big Moment

Name a personal life change you shared. Mention a quiet truth you realized right after.

  2. The Hidden Fear

Explain why most people hide this same change. Share how others messaged you about their fear of being judged.

  3. The Truth Behind It

Reframe the situation. Show why this change actually makes someone stronger, not weaker.

  4. The Encouragement

Speak directly to people in your shoes. Tell them to be proud and stand tall.

  5. Warm Closing

End with a simple, friendly wish to your readers.

Tone

Warm, honest, bold, and supportive.

The original post

When I announced my pregnancy, I realised something. I didn’t actually know many women in tech who were pregnant or had just given birth, not because they weren’t there, but because most never talked about it publicly. The moment I shared that I’m going on maternity leave, my inbox filled up with messages from incredible women saying: “Same here… I just didn’t post it.” Mostly because of fear. Of judgment. Of reactions. Of being seen differently at work. So I want to say this clearly: Pregnancy doesn’t make you weaker. It makes you tougher. If you’re carrying a baby and still showing up to work, shipping, leading, thinking, solving problems… you’re operating on hard mode. And yes, we’ll take a break. We’ll give birth. We’ll soak up that tiny-new-human magic. Then we’ll come back. So if you’re a woman in tech stepping into this chapter, don’t let fear shrink you. Be proud. Be loud. Take up space. Merry Christmas everyone ❤️ wishing you all the best, from my family to yours.
