Use this template to tell people you are back from a break and ready to take on new work.

The hook

Start with a very short line that says you are back, then state what break just ended.

Structure

[Short announcement] -> [Personal update] -> [Signs you are ready] -> [Excitement for work] -> [Call to action] -> [Short sign-off]

  1. The Big Return

Write a short sentence to say you are back. Use three words or less.

  2. The Personal Reality

Share a small detail about your time away. Be honest about how you feel right now, even if you are a bit nervous.

  3. Signs You Are Ready

List two or three simple things around you that show you are set up and ready to focus again.

  4. The Honest Feeling

Admit that you missed your work or your team. Keep it simple and sweet.

  5. The Business Push

Remind people what you do or sell. Tell them your schedule is open for business.

  6. The Final Push

End with a punchy phrase to build excitement.

Tone

Honest, confident, warm, and ready.

Best for

Announcing your return from a leave, vacation, or break while opening your schedule for client work.

The original post

I’m back. Maternity leave is over. I got dressed for the first time in 3 months. No iron, but confidence will do. I’m a mom now. A working mom. Still figuring it out. Still a little scared. But the baby is sleeping. The laptop is charged. The emails are waiting, slack is ready. And honestly… I missed this. If your team is still not using Chatbase, I’m back, ready, and my calendar is open. Let’s go.
