The original post

I just heard the most ridiculous customer complaint Airbnb ever got, straight from their CEO, Brian Chesky. So, picture this: A guest checks into an Airbnb. Everything’s fine… until they message Airbnb support, furious. They demand a refund because and I swear this is real (Brain said it) “the place is haunted by a ghost named Stanley.” At first, you’d think, easy fix, right? The host just needs to say, “No, no, that’s not true.” Case closed. Refund denied. But no. The host CONFIRMS it. He’s like, “Oh yeah, Stanley’s real. I mentioned him in the listing.” Apparently, the description literally said “friendly ghost named Stanley” like that’s a normal Airbnb feature between “ocean view” and “free Wi-Fi.” So now, the guest insists Stanley wasn’t friendly at all. They claim he was “harassing them all night.” Imagine being the support agent reading that ticket: trying to de-escalate a fight between a traveler and a dead guy. Brian Chesky told this story to explain how unpredictable customer service can get in the sharing economy. And that’s when it hit me, If even Airbnb can get haunted refund requests, you need something that doesn’t panic when things get weird. That’s why every company should have Chatbase AI Agents for support. They don’t get scared. They don’t roll their eyes. They just handle chaos, even if the chaos is named Stanley.
