The original post

There’s no B2B and B2C marketing anymore. For a long time, B2B and B2C marketing lived in two different worlds. B2B was “serious” marketing. You focused on search, SEO, use cases, webinars, and paid acquisition. The goal was simple: capture demand, explain the product, convert. B2C was the opposite. Social-first. TikTok, Instagram, creators, influencers. Less explanation, more emotion. Less structure, more momentum. That separation doesn’t exist anymore. Today, the same person who buys software at work scrolls TikTok at night, follows founders on X, reads newsletters on Sunday, and saves LinkedIn posts during lunch breaks. They don’t switch personalities just because the product has a higher price tag. At Chatbase, we stopped thinking in terms of “B2B” or “B2C”. We show up on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. We work with influencers and ambassadors. We built a creator program. We publish videos, send newsletters, and share behind-the-scenes content. At the same time, we still go deep. We care a lot about real use cases. We invest heavily in SEO. We make sure the product story holds up when someone is actively searching for a solution. The difference is that everything is connected. It’s not one team doing “brand” and another doing “performance”. It’s one story, told in different formats, depending on where people are paying attention. Because marketing today isn’t about choosing the right channel. It’s about earning trust before someone is ready to buy, and being useful when they are. There’s no B2B marketing. There’s no B2C marketing. There’s people, a product, and a story worth following.
